7 December 2009 - LeisureCom Staff & Friends Christmas Party
LeisureCom Travel Group held it's "mystery" corporate Christmas party on Saturday night (5th of December) which was attended by over 120 employees and corporate partners.
The night began with everyone meeting at Macintosh Island Park, main beach, for pre-drinks with everyone being transported on three buses to the location which remained a mystery until the arrival.
At 7pm the buses, in convoy, arrived with security escort to the Big Brother House at Dreamworld where they were greeted by host Erin Connor on a Red Carpet arrival. The Big Brother theme music blaring in the background and flashing lights made for a spectacular start to an amazing evening.
The night continued with live music by The Shazam Experience and some awards and recognition including the first ever 'People's Choice Employee of the Year Awards' presented by Directors Jon Tarrant and Shaun Keddie. The winner for 2009 was LeisureCom's head of IT, Trevor Zaffiro, who won a 10 night, all expenses paid, five star holiday for two to Fiji. The runner up award was tied between Reservations Manager Rebecca Tarrant and Team Leader Charlotte Garaghty who both won a $750 Harvey Norman gift voucher.
The evening was personally organised by the Directors and both were very happy with the overall turnout.
Executive Director Jon Tarrant said, "The night went perfectly to plan, I think everyone got a huge surprise and some were even a little overwhelmed with the red carpet entrance - cameras and lights in their face and Erin (the host) interviewing them as they arrived. But all in all, they all had a great time and it was well deserved after the huge and successful year we've all had."
It's now just a question of - 'how do you top that?' We'll just have to wait and see what 2010 brings to the team at LeisureCom.
