28 July 2010 - 1800SCHOOLIES.COM.AU Launch LeisureCom Travel Group, one of Australia's largest and most progressive direct marketers for tourism, travel and accommodation has announced today the launch of their new Schoolies accommodation and travel brand. The launch of 1800SCHOOLIES.com.au will allow the company to grow its already successful schoolies program and provide new and existing accommodation providers with robust revenue income for the popular festival. LeisureCom's Dylan Peters, who has headed up the strategic growth of the program says, "This is an exciting opportunity for our business to build a strong and recognisable brand amongst the target youth demographic with a unique strategy focusing on a 'phone word' which the kids can remember, call to make a booking, obtain information about the festival and refer to their friends", he says. "The schoolies festival is a great opportunity with over 35,000 school leavers from all over Australia and New Zealand embarking on locations like the Gold and Sunshine Coasts", says Mr Peters. "We intend to take a more proactive approach in promoting our schoolies product by also promoting safety and security leading up to and throughout the festival, along with organising drug and alcohol free events such as beach and pool parties".
